Office Administrator
Location: Island City, OR
Job Type: Full-Time | Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
About the Role
Wallowa County Grain Growers is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Administrator to support our Island City Agronomy Department. This is a key front-office position responsible for daily administrative operations, customer service, and coordination with department staff. Attendance, accuracy, and professionalism are critical to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage front office operations, including answering phones, directing calls, and handling mail
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and assist customers with product inquiries and sales recording
- Perform accurate billing, accounts receivable, and daily money handling
- Track and maintain inventory records with a high level of accuracy
- Support day-to-day administrative operations of the Agronomy Department
- Run daily banking and post-office errands
- Communicate regularly and effectively with the Agronomy Department Manager
- Maintain punctuality and dependable attendance as a key operational role
(This position assists customers with locating products but is not required to load or carry products for customers.)
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail, especially with billing and inventory tracking
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Reliable, punctual, and self-directed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands regularly throughout the workday
- Ability to occasionally lift office supplies or materials up to 50 pounds
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured to operate company vehicles
- Must pass criminal history background check and drug screening
